Alternatives offer substance abuse treatment that serve court ordered clients throughout the State of Colorado.

DUI CLASSES

Alternatives offer DUI classes over Zoom or in-office classes to accommodate our clients who are lacking in transportation or that have other barriers. The clients receive a DWC workbook, and the work is done in the classroom in an interactive setting.

DV Services (The CARE Method)

Our Domestic Violence program uses The CARE Method Workbook to provide a structured, accountability-focused approach for individuals working through court-ordered DV requirements. Sessions emphasize responsibility, emotional regulation, communication skills, and patterns that contribute to harmful behavior. The program offers a supportive, respectful environment where participants can build insight, practice new skills, and work toward safer, healthier relationships.

ENHANCED OUTPATIENT PROGRAM - EOP

Alternatives offer EOP (enhanced outpatient treatment) consisting of three hours or more per week.

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM - IOP

Alternatives offer IOP (intensive outpatient treatment) consisting of nine hours or more per week.

RELAPSE PREVENTION

Alternatives offer Relapse Prevention classes to link the clients to strategies and coping skills identified as triggers, cravings and identify with warning signs. It Is about promoting recovery as defined by the individual and preventing relapse and recidivism. The program encourages focusing on strengths rather than deficits and builds hope and motivation for living a fulfilling and responsible life.

DV Treatment and Evaluations

We provide Domestic Violence evaluations and court-ordered treatment for male clients who are required to complete DV services. Our program uses a structured, accountability-focused approach that helps participants examine patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and build skills that support safer choices. All services are grounded in the principles of victim and community safety, with an emphasis on responsibility, respectful communication, and long-term behavior change.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY AND ANGER MANAGEMENT

Alternatives offer a combined cognitive behavioral and anger management therapy program as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is highly effective in treating Anger Management. It works by empowering people to see how their thinking processes and beliefs can be a catalyst for anger and aggressive behaviors and encourages them to learn alternative methods of coping.
